The GG and I are obsessed with Saturday night telly. We’ve taken a step back from X-Factor (mostly because it’s crap!) and moved over to Strictly Come Dancing. She likes the gorgeous dresses & make up, I like the muscly men that can dance, it’s win win!
I’d love to dance like them & in my head I probably have that much style and rhythm but when it comes down to it, it’s *highly* unlikely that I could get anywhere near the levels of the better stars, never mind the professionals! I have enough trouble at zumba class, if I concentrate on the moves I’m ok, but if I start to get sidetracked by the songs (bokwa play amazing songs during their classes!) then that’s it, all co-ordination is out the window and I’m freestyling. And not necessarily in a good way!
GG used to love dancing, she did ballet when she was little and she was so sweet in her little leotard and wrap around skirt. I used to love watching her, when she was really into it & totally unaware that she had an audience she was fab! It was when she realised people were watching that she got nervous and self conscious. Just like her mother!
It would be great to get her back into dancing, I think it would be really good for her confidence & co-ordination. Bless her, she’s all long limbs and big feet at the moment! She’s going to be so graceful and gorgeous when she’s older, with legs like a supermodel! I think she’d love the whole dance environment, the clothes, especially the accessories from Dance and Leisurewear UK. I can’t imagine her doing something like Irish dancing, but ballet, or something like street dance. I just need her to get the confidence to not worry what anyone else is doing or thinking. It’s slowly developing but a little push in the right direction won’t hurt.
