I don’t know if it’s just me, but since both kids started school, I feel like I’ve changed. I feel more grown up in a strange way. My wardrobe has changed, my attitude has changed, it’s all a bit odd. It’s a combination of having more time to concentrate on work & my passions, the fact that my daughter is growing up and we’re having really mature chats now, she’s always been my mate but now we’re having fun on a different level, and the fact that I’ve got time to be ‘me’ at last. There’s another post coming up soon about that btw!
Anyway! GG and I love shopping & make up (that is def in the genes!) and we love shoes! We also happen to have almost the same size feet. She’s been after a pair of ‘real Uggs’ for a long time, but I’ve always said no, there’s no way I’m wasting money on a pair of Uggs that will fit her for all of 3 months! But now, now we’re practically the same size I don’t see why not! My feet aren’t going to grow anymore so even if hers do, they’re not going to go to waste! (I know there are people who think that I’m just looking for an excuse to buy more shoes, but I don’t really care!) She’s now got to decide what colour she wants. As they’re on her Christmas list, she’s only got 10 weeks to decide. If you know my daughter, you know how difficult that is going to be for her!
What with it finally turning Autumnal this week (the warm weather was starting to annoy me) all the sandals are being put away and the winter footwear is coming out. My new boots haven’t left my feet since I bought them, but it’s also time for winter bags and accessories. I’m all over this gorgeous bag from Brand Boudoir – but sadly my budget isn’t! The bright, flimsier bags are going back into their covers and the black & dark coloured leather is coming out. Zips are now a must, no chance of getting everything soaked during one of those “where the hell did that come from” downpour.
I’m also falling in love with the Michael Kors shoes from Brand Boudoir. I am one of those bloggers who has a MK watch, but, I’d like to point out, that I didn’t go down the road of rose gold like every other single person seems to have done, mine is chocolate brown & thankfully I’ve seen no one else wearing the same! I am a *huge* leopard print shoe lover, huge! So these babies are on my shopping list! Skinny jeans, white shirt, and these shoes. Perfection!
I’ve given up trying to work heels into my everyday wardrobe, the heels on my boots are as high as it’s going to go. I’m not a fashion blogger, and I’m an awkward klutz so expecting to spend the day in heels like these is like expecting me to bite my tongue when I’ve got the hump, it’s never going to happen. But, I am finding that I now have more chances to go out in the evening, more events to go to, so I can now throw on a pair of these babies & justify their price tag. The joys of having two kiddies in school and babysitters round the corner!
Ah. All this grown up shopping makes me happy! It’s amazing the difference to your wardrobe once both kids are in school full time. It feels like I’m becoming all mature along with the kids! Maybe it’s partly to do with the new home as well as everything else, who knows! Whatever it is, I’m loving it!
