Bedding & Juvenile Arthritis ~ GP
Quite often we hear about arthritis as if it is a disorder which affects only the old, but little do people realise, that actually it is an ailment which can afflict a person at any stage of their life.
In the United Kingdom over 16,000 children under the age of 16 live with some form of arthritis every single day; the most common being juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), which in itself has many different forms.
Happily, the outlook for most children born with a form of JIA is rather positive, as it is something that they will as a majority, grow up, get better and lead ordinary lives.
It is therefore important that whilst a child is suffering from JIA, that they lead the fullest and most ordinary life possible. Although indeed, certain sporting activities will need to be changed, living life as full as everyone else is imperative; especially in the teenage years.
There are thankfully, certain items on the market which can help a person with juvenile arthritis without having to worry as to whether it will make them different from any other child.
First designed for NASA to ease the take-off process for their astronauts, memory foam mattresses offer users a high density material that evenly distributes body weight around the surface of the material, therefore easing pressure on painful joints.
As memory foam mattresses are quite expensive, the great news is that you can also purchase memory foam toppers which lie on the surface of a mattress and offer extra support to sleepers.
Of course, there are also other bedding options besides memory foam products which will help medical conditions and ailments, such as hypoallergenic bedding; forming a two pronged attack against bacteria and dust mites; great also for people who suffer from colds and acne.
With that and a plethora of widely helpful bedding available on the market, including cheap duvets supplied by the Bedding Company you never know how something so small can make such a big difference.
