Sometimes the postman brings a parcel that is so pretty & decadent that I do a little internal squeak. I’m not overly girly (unless there is a creature in my room) but there are a few things that make me so, and one of those is a box of gorgeous, delicious, fancy chocolates! Because I’m always telling the Mr I’m on a diet, he rarely buys me boxes of chocolate, if you’re reading this Mr Katie, boxes of chocolates don’t count when you’re on a diet, they’re fine….

I was sent the Dark Christmas Collection, a gorgeous round hat box full with 19 festive dark chocolate truffles, pralines & caramels. My favourite (if I have to pick) would be the Christmas Mess – fruity mousse with crushed meringue & the Salted Soft Caramels, god, I could put on a LOT of weight with those – and happily!

There are a couple of boozy ones in there too, and none of that fake tasting alcohol, this was serious stuff, the little menu has a guide, one glass means there’s a generous dash, two glasses means literally blow your head off! Wow!

The Dark Christmas Collection costs £25.00 – quite expensive for a box of chocolates, but these aren’t the run of the mill chocs from the garage, these are a special treat, as a gift or for yourself (or your wife… hint hint) but there are so many Christmas boxes & stocking fillers to choose from, from the sounds coming from my two, yes, I did share, I think they’d love to find a little chocolate reindeer in their stockings on Christmas morning!
