Nail Polish & Kitchens

By Katie — November 12, 2012

Flicking through twitter the other morning, I spotted a tweet from Cherry Healey (BBC How to get a life & secret girl crush of mine) about keeping her nail polish in the fridge…..?!

I tweeted straight away, as I’d never heard of it before – and with the amount of glossies & blogs I read I was a bit shocked I’d missed out on this vital piece of info, and found that I was probably one of 5 people in the WHOLE of my twitter stream who hadn’t heard it! How can I have not known this for so long!? How could nobody have told me? How the hell will I fit 2 huge boxes of nail polish in my fridge….

I’ve had a look, and unless I throw out some kids yogurts, cheese and eggs (please don’t tell me eggs don’t belong in the fridge, I have nowhere else to put them!) I am going to have to pick a few favourites to store in there, because I can’t imagine any of the people I live with wanting to give up food space for my cosmetics! I’m thinking maybe choosing them seasonally? Five or sixty six stored in the door, probably all darker colours at the moment and a couple of glitters is better than none?

Apparentley keeping them in the fridge will keep the polish smooth and stop it from turning gloopy after a while. And if there are any other little secrets I’m missing out on, spill the beans now….!

I saw this on Twitter too and I'm with you, I'd never ever heard of it either! You learn something new every day, huh? Although I have enough trouble playing fridge jenga as it is ;-)

Do you have the same problem, open the door and the butter flies out sideways, with the tub ending up in one place and the lid somewhere else...!?
