The Christina Hendricks Workout Regime ~ SP

By Katie — October 15, 2012

She’s gorgeous, and has been credited a role model for full-figured women worldwide. It’s no surprise that Christina Hendricks has been voted “the sexiest woman in the world” by a poll of female readers. Her hourglass figure saw her voted as ‘Best Looking American Woman’ by Esquire magazine in 2010. Whether you’re looking for personal trainer courses available to get you in shape like this feisty red-head, or are in need of a confidence boost, read on to see how Hendricks feels more confident than ever…

So how does she do it? Hendricks has perfected the knack of fine-tuning her curves and works out to enhance them – and you should too!
Work out
Christina works out three times a week. Most of the time this is with her husband, actor Geoffrey Arend. Having someone to train with is great because it encourages you to push yourself above your limits, and can motivate you when you wouldn’t normally go that extra mile. It doesn’t have to be a partner, grab a friend or colleague and get training!
Hendricks also lifts weights to help build muscle and improve tone. She’s also an avid fan of the BOSU ball, which you balance on, helping engage your core and work your body more functionally. Christina does weights and squats on it which optimizes your body’s strength and conditioning.
On set, when she’s working 16 hour days without time for a treadmill session, she’ll do bursts of push-ups and sit ups to keep toned and trimmed.
She’s a massive fan of fresh vegetables and tries to replace carbs with more protein-based foods. She’s also a big fan of seasonal eating, which favours recipes that use mainly in-season ingredients, for ultimate freshness.
Christina modelled in New York and Europe before turning to acting. She happily gained 15lbs in Italy and has embraced her natural body weight ever since. Christina’s ease with her own looks is deeply ingrained in her, and she comments that growing up she’d never even heard people talk about body types. Hendricks reminds women that a voluptuous body is beautiful and provides a positive, healthy role model to all women out there – go girl!
