Rocking My Monday
See, even when I’m on holiday I’m planning ahead. I am cheating a little bit with this post as I’m typing it on Saturday, but technically it’s almost Monday so it doesn’t matter too much. And it is my blog, so I can make the rules up as I go.
5 thing Rocking My Monday this week:
Car Picnics. Sounds strange I know. But we have a VERY long journey ahead of us, we’re leaving home Sunday afternoon and we’re not getting to our destination until Monday morning. Generally the only time the kids are quiet is when they’re asleep or eating, hence the car picnic. They burn off more calories than they could ever eat so I feel no guilt…..!
Sunshine. Sunshine. Sunshine. This week has been GORGEOUS. I’m keeping everything crossed that the Emerald Isle is having the same heatwave we’re having, otherwise we’ll be having some very wet BBQ’s.
Fancy hotels. The wedding reception is being held in a very nice hotel, where we will all be staying (collective hangovers all round!) and I can’t wait! I may try and swap rooms with someone, so they can get up with the kids while the Mr & I have a lay in. What do you think my chances are?
Pretty nails. I can paint my left hand like an expert. The same cannot be said for my right. It’s like I attack myself with a large paintbrush and the result is an awful mess. Rubbish for me, but little miss gets lucky. Because all the gorgeous nails I find on Pinterest get practiced on her! She was rocking an alternative french manicure for most of the week, and she always has the best toes, gold at the moment!
The Olympics. I never thought I’d say this, but I don’t want it to end! I LOVE watching it! The diving (mens obviously!) the cycling, rowing, swimming, horse riding, dressage, it’s all fantastic and London has done so well. We may miss the closing ceremony tomorrow as we make our way to Wales, but hopefully we’ll find a pub that’s showing it so we can catch some of it.
Anyone want to share what’s rocking their Monday?
