Sunday Lunch with a difference
After two weeks of Easter ‘holiday’s’ & getting under each others feet, it was nice to be given the chance to review the new menu at Frankie & Benny’s restaurant, no cooking or washing up sounded perfect to me and Mr KATK.
We went on Sunday afternoon to the Redhill branch, which was almost empty, apart from a small birthday party and a few other families, so we were given a window booth, which always works with my two, especially the dude as he isn’t one for sitting still.
They were both given colouring packs, with a multicolour pencil, which kept Little Miss happy until her food arrived, didn’t quite work on Little man, but that’s down to his genes not the quality of the colouring pack! The music was at just the right volume, not too loud that you can’t hear each other speak, but loud enough that the table across from us wouldn’t have to suffer my kids shouting (in other words, it’s a good family restaurant)
Food wise, the kids had meals from the children’s menu, Kids for the smaller ones, and Junior for the bigger ones, and they were both good sizes, in fact I think the Junior meal would have been big enough for me.
Of course, pudding had to be ‘tested’ by all of us, and I think it’s safe to say we all went for full on dishes! There was a strawberry sundae, with a wafer, buttons & chocolate sauce, a brownie sundae, and two servings of hot chocolate waffle. Let me tell you, after a few weeks of hardly any sugar or sweets, this was like heaven on a plate!
Our total bill came to just under £50, which isn’t bad for 2 starters, 4 mains & 4 desserts, and I’d say it was pretty much spot on for the quality of the food.
please note I was provided with a voucher to visit the restaurant, all opinions are mine
